What this is
MunAI is Harmonia's companion. This version runs on hardware you own. The Harmonism articles and everything you tell it are stored on your own device; the model that answers runs either on that same device or on your own computer. Nothing you write is sent to anyone.
First use
Connect to Wi-Fi, choose where MunAI should think, and press Download and begin. On a computer, This device needs nothing installed and downloads about six gigabytes, once. Keep the page open until it finishes.
On a phone or tablet
A phone does not run the model. The models small enough to fit answer badly enough to misrepresent the system they speak for, so that option is not offered — a poor answer in MunAI's voice is worse than no answer. A phone does two things instead. It holds the whole corpus for reading and searching offline, with no network at all. And it reaches a model on a computer you own, over your own Wi-Fi, which also gives you the full doctrinal backbone rather than the compressed one. See Using a model on your own computer below.
Keep it on your phone
iPhone or iPad: in Safari, tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen. Safari on iOS 26 or later is required.
Android: in Chrome, open the menu (three dots) and tap Install app or Add to Home screen.
Mac or PC: in Chrome or Edge, click the install icon at the right end of the address bar.
Opened from the home screen, MunAI works with airplane mode on.
If the model will not start
There is no smaller model to fall back to, and that is deliberate: below this size the answers stop being trustworthy in MunAI's voice, and a confident wrong answer about the system is worse than none. If this computer cannot hold it, or the browser says it has no WebGPU, run the model outside the browser instead — it can hold far more there, and it is the better version anyway. See below.
Keeping the articles current
The articles never update by themselves. When you are online, open Settings and press Check for corpus update. Nothing downloads unless you confirm.
Moving between phone and computer
Settings → Export memory saves one file with your conversations, practices and notes. Import it on the other device. Erasing everything is also there and cannot be undone.
Using a model on your own computer
This is the best version of MunAI Offline, and the only one a phone can use. Download MunAI Offline for your computer (about 100 MB — it carries the articles and the retrieval model, so it never fetches anything from anyone), unzip it, and double-click MunAI Offline inside — .command on a Mac, .bat on Windows. It installs what it needs, downloads a model once, and opens MunAI in the browser. No terminal.
To use that computer's model from your phone, leave the window open. It prints a second address beginning with a number, like http://192.168.1.14:8765/; type that into the phone's browser while both are on the same Wi-Fi. Two consequences worth knowing. The phone then works only while the computer is awake, and that page cannot be saved for offline use — a plain address on your network is not one browsers will let an app store itself from. And what you tell MunAI there is kept separately from what you tell this copy, because they are different addresses; Settings → Export and Import move it across.
What MunAI cannot do here
These models are far smaller than the one on harmonism.io. They make mistakes and can state things the articles do not say — which is why nothing below the seven-billion class is offered here at all. When something matters, read the article: every reply lists the articles it drew on, and they open offline. In a crisis MunAI gives you a helpline, not a conversation; it is a companion, not a clinician.
